The right system for every site

We size and design every system around your consumption, roof and site conditions.

Most popular in Dubai

On-Grid (Net Metering)

Grid-connected panels with no batteries. Your property uses solar power first, and surplus energy is exported to DEWA and credited on your bill.

  • Villas & townhouses
  • Commercial & industrial roofs
  • Best return on investment
No grid connection

Off-Grid

Stand-alone solar with battery storage for sites without access to the grid, supplying power day and night.

  • Farms & remote sites
  • Construction & temporary sites
  • Telecom & utility equipment
Backup & fuel savings

Hybrid

Solar combined with batteries and generators to cut diesel use, lower running costs and keep critical loads powered.

  • Generator-dependent sites
  • Critical & backup loads
  • Lower fuel & emissions
Net Metering

How Shams Dubai works

Under DEWA’s net metering scheme, electricity flows both ways. You are billed only for the net energy you take from the grid.

FAQ

Common questions

What is Shams Dubai and net metering?

Shams Dubai is DEWA’s programme, launched in 2015, that lets homes and buildings in Dubai connect rooftop solar to the grid. Your panels power your property first. Any surplus flows to the DEWA grid and is credited, so you only pay for the net electricity you use.

Do I need DEWA approval?

Yes. Every grid-connected solar system in Dubai needs DEWA approval and must be installed by a DEWA-approved contractor. As an approved contractor, LTS prepares the design, submits it to DEWA and arranges the inspection and net meter for you.

Which system is right for me: on-grid, off-grid or hybrid?

Most villas and buildings in Dubai choose on-grid with net metering, because it gives the best return with no batteries to maintain. Off-grid suits sites with no grid connection, and hybrid suits sites that currently rely on generators or need backup power. We recommend the right option after the site survey.

Is my roof suitable?

Most villa and building roofs are suitable. During the free site survey we check the available area, shading, orientation and structure, then size the system to your consumption.

How long does it take?

It depends on system size and DEWA approval times. Your quotation includes a clear timeline covering design approval, installation, inspection and connection.

How do I keep the system performing?

In UAE conditions panels need regular cleaning, and the inverter and connections should be checked periodically. Maintenance plans are available through our sister company, LTS Technical Services.
